A Regular meeting of the Genoa Town Board was held on August 9, 2000 at the GHA Building,
Rt. 34B, King Ferry, NY 13081.

OTHERS PRESENT: From the Healthy Wells-Healthy Lakes was Bruce Natali, Kelly Sevier and
Shawn Bossard. Rick Pyhtilla, Victor Signor and Hans Pecher.
Bruce Natali and Kelly Sevier talked about the Healthy Wells and Healthy Lakes Program.
There will be a grant applied for to the Dept of State for this project. The Town of
Genoa will act as a host town for this project. There will be a series of workshops for
residence to attend and learn how to
maintain healthy wells. Residence who attends workshops will receive coupon for free
water testing. This should start in April 2001.

Rick Phytilla has talked to his lawyer about the Guy problem and says it will probably
end up in court. The property will be surveyed the 2nd or 3rd week of September. The
Guy's have not come into compliance with the codes yet. It was to be done by 7-01-00.
Minutes for July 12, 2000 were approved.

Building and grounds reported the GHA Building was stained by Wheat Harvest Festival time
and it looks very nice. Committee secured some property at Mabel Newton's on the N-E
corner of Bartnik Rd and Route 90. Hans Pecher will act as her mediator. Ron Marshall
has approval for a surveyor not to
exceed $500.00 to survey the land. Ken Walker sent lease for $1.00 for the use of the
ball fields behind Ithaca Gun on Rt. 34B in King Ferry. The Liability Insurance will be
maintained by someone other than Ithaca Gun. Sunday August 13, 2000 will be clean up day
at the new ball fields. Melissa
Fedrizzi is Chairman of the field Committee. Rich Harrison will sign lease.

Programs and Grants. Lorie reported that Kelly McMannus gave a written document on each
instructor. Red Cross requested a $5.00 fee for each child attending and Lorie refused.
There were approximately 100 children who enjoyed the summer recreation program. All
paper work went in for the final
payment for the records repository work.
Code Enforcement. The variance committee approved portable trailer to go in on corner of
Creek rd and Rt. 90 for Bill's Auto Sales. Approved Wayne Smith's going on salary.

Highway report given by David Reeves Deputy Highway Superintendent. Finished up berm
project at pump house. A little to wet, but it is done. Paperwork to Bruce Natali is in
for the reimbursement. South of Five Corners has two coats of oil and stone as pr plan.
Did North Bartnik, Mahaney to
Atwater, North Mahaney and Tupper road one coat of oil and stone. Helped Venice-Ledyard
chip and they helped us. Moravia and Niles also helped. Cayuga Emulsions spread some
calcium chloride on some gravel roads for a little dust control, and to help hold the
gravel there. Albert is still mowing.
Board gave approval for David Powers to attend the annual Highway Superintendence meeting
in Monticello.
DOT is meeting with some of the Genoa residents concerning the Bridge project on August
16, 2000 to discuss why they need more land.
New Business, Roger Connor requested the town pay for the new line for the computer for
the Town Justice.
Water Report. The average gallons were 79,000 gallons per day in July. This is up 4000
gallons from June. Put in one soft start and it is working so far. Telemetry is still
not working like it should.
