A Regular meeting of the Genoa Town Board was held on SEPTEMBER 12, 2001 at the Genoa Fire House, Route 90, Genoa, NY 13071 Meeting was brought to order at 7:30 pm.

Corrections to August 2001 Minutes

Lorie Fessenden will Contact the SCCS School Board to Negotiate for next years recreation program. Two topics to discuss. Renegotiating how the program has worked for the last 20 years. Reiterating where the students in their present swim program started.

Building and Grounds

Kenneth Manzari was present from the new town hall committee. Ronald Marshall, and David Powers went to Cornell University Statler Hall and got tables and chairs, and James Kopp got tables and chairs from ILR Building. This gives us a good supply of tables and chairs for the New Town Hall. AES Cayuga donated shelving and computer desks for the New Town Hall also. The committee met with David Schenck about setting the building. Marilyn Mann is in charge of color scheme. The tentative date is sometime in November. The meeting room rug is soiled again and discussed shampooing again.

Programs and Grant:

Richard Harrison is typing a letter to SCCS School Board concerning 2002 Summer Recreation Program.

Code Enforcement

Wayne Smith submitted his monthly report of building permits issued and inspections he had done for August 2001.

Highway Report

Bradley Street has both coats completed. DOT is done digging water and is doing storm sewers. Everyone is hooked back up to new water lines. Green road has been completed.

Water Report

David Powers reported for David Reeves 80,000 gallons of water per day in the month of August.

Old Business:

Justice Connor Request to have his health and accident insurance amount as part of his w-2 wages and in turn will pay his insurance himself to the town. Does the Board want to make this retroactive back to last quarter.

Board made Motion to make Judge Connor position a salary position starting on October 1, 2001.

Assessor update.

Scott Snyder is ready to turn in his information and equipment and Donald Potter will fill in the interim until such time as the Genoa Town Board finds a new assessor.
