Building and Grounds

Ronald Marshall reported the light in the back of the GHA Building is out again. Also the men's bathroom has a leak in the sink. Will look into getting them fixed. The New Town Hall Foundation will be set on October 25, 2001. One item of concern was brought up about the septic at the new facility. If it is necessary in a commercial building to have a bell trap. There have been some problems with these in the past.

Programs and Grant:

Richard Harrison had lunch with the new district principal Peter Cardimone and discussed the swim program. Rich feels Peter will be in close touch with The Town Board and program should stay the same as it has been for the last 30 plus years.

Code Enforcement

Wayne Smith submitted his monthly report of building permits issued and inspections he had done for September 2001.

Highway Report

Dug out some soft spots on Maple Street and repaired with sand and gravel. There was clay under the one section. Oiled and chipped Maple Street today. We also oiled and chipped the hill on 5-corner hill and Blakley Road. We hauled gravel for Venice to Landon Road. Helped Moravia do a little chipping. Getting ready to haul cinders from Miliken Station. I did attend the Highway Superintendents Conference. Came home a day early for Marks Redders calling hours and funeral. Attendance way down at conference due to the terrorist attacks.

Water Report

Average water usage per day in September was 80,000 gallons. Done with relocation project. There are a few more things to be done with the bridge project concerning new water lines.
