Water Report and Water Committee Report
James Pierce and David Johnson gave their presentation for a new upgrade for water
meters. The present meters are outdated and David Reeves has few parts to repair them.
He has no availability to purchase new parts. The water Committee will take the
presentation into consideration and submit to
the Genoa Town Board their findings.
David Reeves reported that in December 2002 the average water usage was 70,000 gallons
per day, January 2003 it was 73,000 gallons per day and in February 2003 it was 64,000
gallons per day. David has been checking for leaks. The annual conference in Buffalo is
coming up in May 2003. David would
like the Boards permission to send in his registration. The Registration cost is $85.00
and Hotel accommodations are $342.00 per person.

Building and Grounds
Ronald Marshall has been out of commission. We are glad to have him back. Kenneth
Manzari has been doing a little legwork on finishing the down stairs at the Town Hall.
He contacted Phillip Thayer and Bub DeLapp for a price on the job.
Code Enforcement
February 2003 inspections by Wayne Smith were:
Dana Mandell-Pre construction meeting, French House Atwater Road-plumbing and frame, Ag
Track-Frame Building, True-checked progress on addition, Eicker-checked progress on
house, and Volbrecht-checked progress on pole barn. Butch feels that anyone having a
complaint about junk cars in the Town of
Genoa could submit a letter to him or Wayne Smith-code enforcement officer and they will
take care of it. Butch feel the town should limit the electrical inspectors to no more
than two. It would be much easier for the code enforcement officer. Fees are about the
same. The fees seem to be
increasing a little with the cost of gas and insurance costs going up. Richard Harrison
will draw up a resolution at for the next board meeting April 12, 2003.
PROGRAMS AND GRANTS
Have not yet received a letter from Southern Cayuga Central School BOED for use of
facilities for the 2003 swim program. Richard Harrison will check on this. Lori
Fessenden met with grayson Mitchell and Gordon Cummings to establish what record should
be moved from GHA Building to The Genoa Town
Hall.
Highway Report
The head gasket on the Dodge 1-ton truck go and ruin two pistons and two valves. Planed
.0006 off head and solved problem. Brad Eldred came to the town garage and did the
repairs. Still messing with snow. Cinders going to be close but David thinks we will
have enough. The Town inventory is
complete and copies were presented to The Genoa Town Board Members.
Supervisors Report for January 31, 2003.
The board made a motion to accept.
