Water Committee Report
Cheryl Shields presented a brochure from the water committee to be mailed to all water
recipients in the town of Genoa. It will enable us to get more information in our
computer for water billing.
Building and Grounds
We have a nice Sugar Maple Tree at the south end of the Town Hall. Frank Turek in memory
of Virginia donated it. Butch Manzari will go to the next Fire Meeting to get
information on where we can get a flagpole for the Town Hall.
Programs and Grants
There was a change in co directors for the swim program. Kate Wheeler from Genoa
replaced Cathy Murray. Lori will pick up payroll for swim program and distribute. Lori
has requested the grant application from state Ed department and it has been received.
Lori met with Greg Wesley and told them
that GHA can move shelves to the back wall. The board approved this move.
Code Enforcement
Permits issued Toni Ward, Philip Kenyon, Brent Chidsey, Doug Swearingen, Willet Dairy,
Tim Walter and Darren Reeves. Inspections Triangle Restaurant, Joel Mead, Ingalls,
Rainbow, Mead, Amato, Gans, and Reeves.
Communications Donald Reeves-proof of junkyard licensing Amato-steps for code violation
and Gans stop work order for replacing foundation w/o permit.
Highway Report
July 2003.
Helped Venice with fabric and gravel on Saxton Road and Nolan Road. Installed some under
drains on Mayo Road. With the help of Venice, Moravia and Ledyard, we put on fabric and a
foot of gravel on Mayo Road also. We also have calcium chloride on it for stabilization.
With the help of Venice,
Moravia and Ledyard we're putting fabric and gravel on Sharpsteen Road. Our roller set
up. Can't tell what or where at this pint, but it seems like it's had it. I would like
to attend the Highway Conference this fall.
