REGULAR MEETING, GENOA TOWN BOARD AUGUST 13, 2003
A Regular meeting of the Genoa Town Board was held on August 13, 2003 at the Genoa Town
Hall 1000 Bartnick Road, Genoa, New York 13071.
The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M.

Water Committee Report
The average water usage per day in July was 95,000 gallons.
David Reeves has been fixing curb valves and new boxes. Fixed water line
At King Ferry Presbyterian Church. Fixed curb box at Harold Wards.
Water committee have the post card to mail to all water recipients, along with a brochure
to explain how the water reading and billing works and the changes that are being made.
Programs and Grants
This years swim program was very successful. The program ended August 1, 2003.
There were and average of 67 students per day. The Merry Go Round Theater had 80
students from Genoa and 60 from King Ferry.
Code Enforcement
Permits issued for the month of July 2003 were Toni Ward, Philip Kenyon, Brent Chidsey,
Doug Swearingen, Willet Dairy, Tim Walter and Darren Reeves. Inspections Triangle
Restaurant, Joel Mead, Ingalls, Rainbow, Mead, Amato, Gans, and Reeves.
Communications Donald Reeves-proof of junkyard licensing Amato-steps for code violation
and Gans stop work order for replacing foundation w/o permit.
Highway Report
July 2003.
We finished up the gravel on Sharpsteen road. Rafferty did the final rolling. Purged
the wells at the landfill so they could be tested. Hauled gravel for Venice and helped
Ledyard with a cold pave project on one section of Dixon Road. Helped Moravia oil and
chip one day. Moravia and Venice
helped us two days oil and chip on North Mahaney Road-Whipple Road-Creek Road-Tupper Road
and Weeks Road. Albert is mowing and patching. In order to do Mayo road 2 coats of oil
and stone $10,000.00. I don't recommend 1 coat the first time. To do 2 coats on
Sharpsteen road $5,000.00. Rich will
check with Fran to see if money is available for Material for Sharpsteen and Mayo Roads.
