WATER REPORT:

Tank inspection is coming up. Usually we have to drain the tanks. However this year they havbe a new video camera to go down inside the tank and check out the condition. This has to be done every year. Mark and David have installed 182 meter conversions and 79 new meters. A little les tha 50% of the new meters have to be replaced within the next year. Also 1 large meter. Meters should be changed at least every ten years. Turek farms will need a new meter when their new office is completed. We are finding leaks in the water line hear and there. We are fixing them as we find them. Replacing wires as they put in new meters. Some curb valves are needing to be replaced. The annual water report is complete and ready to be mailed. John Boles needs a hook up and Dave will get this done soon.

WATER COMMITTEE:

John Mann reported they had a meeting last month. They are going to organize a Water Board. Talked about how it should be structered. Talked about who would have the authority and if the Town Board could overrule any decissions the Water Board made. They also decided this will be expensive and that town water program is not large enough to justify the extra cost. For now they will revamp the charges for hook up and repairs. We have to replace two people on the water committee. Cheryl will be scouting for one from King Ferry and one from Genoa. These people should prefferably be on the water line. This would be a two year commitment.

BUILDING AND GROUNDS:

Lori has located some good chairs for the Town Hall. Lawn Mower Bids are in. The Town Board chose the lowest bidder pending verification of liability insurance. The lowest bidder was Greco at $100.00 per mowing and trimming at all 4 sites. Other bids were Shields Lawn Service at $175.00 and CJS Mowing and Lawn Care at $180.00.

PROGRAMS AND GRANTS: Haven't heard back grant. It will probably not be until June. Haven't heard from sccs on the summer recreation program. They promised to take the request to the School Board.
