REGULAR MEETING, GENOA TOWN BOARD
May 12, 2004
A Regular meeting of the Genoa Town Board was held on May 12, 2004 at the Genoa Town Hall
1000 Bartnick Road, Genoa, New York 13071.
The Meeting was called to order at 7:45 P.M.

WATER REPORT:
None
WATER COMMITTEE:
The Water Copmmittee got together a couple weeks ago and went over finalizing a few
things.
Still looking for 2 people for the water commettee. The new charges for certain
replacements
and repairs will be on the agenda for June 9, 2004 Town Board Meeting.
BUILDING AND GROUNDS:
Lawns have been mowed a few times and are looking very nice. Cheryl will work with Tina
Turek
to get the schrubs in at the Town Hall.
PROGRAMS AND GRANTS:
Mery Ground Theater will have it's annual program for King Ferry and Genoa again this
year. Donna
Button always does a great job on the preparation of this event. The advwertisement will
be out soon.
Keep a eye out for it. July 5, 2004 to July 30, 2004 Swim Program is under way. Lori
has her staff
lined up. Lori will bring in the payroll schedule for the next meeting.
CODE ENFORCEMENT:
Permits issued were Dave Baildon Jr, Glenn Warner, Andy Sciarabba, Judith Warren, Cindy
Delap,
R&R Callear, Ray Emery, David Brong, Martin Gardner, and John Grant.
Inspections were King Fery Winery, Guy Green, Malcolm Underwood, Ted Rejman, David Turek,
John Boles,
Halfway Cafe(Laurie's Place), King Ferry Winery twice more, and Glen Warner.
HIGHWAY REPORT:
The last of the snow tickets were done and in to the county. Plow equipment and sanders
are cleaned,
painted and should be already for next year. Trucks have hauled 1600 tons of item #4 from
Seneca Falls
Stone to be used for mix paving 1 mile stretch on East Venice Road. All the gravel roads
have been
graded atleast once and cjecking on calcium prices for dust control. We've had the
ditcher jumping from
one road to another for drivewayS aNd Drainage problems from the heavy rains we've had.
The new truck
is in Harrisville for the fittinG of the box and plow equipment. Have confirmation the
New pickup was
Ordered and in on time before the May cut off dAte.

ASSESSORS REPORT:
None
OLD BUSINESS:
Clean up Day is being investigated as to when and how.
The state law is not to have over 2 unlicensed vehicles
on premises. Ward Harrison of Locke, NY will pick up
for nothing. Freezers and Refrigeratiors will be picked
up for a fee of $25.00.
NEW BUSINESS:
Andy Fusco an attorney from Auburn, NY addressed the board about
his experience as a lawyer for Municipalities. The Board will
let him know at the next meeting if they will obtain his services.
Dale STClair asked to increase mileage allowance for any
town business travel done for the town. Effexctive 5-12-2004
the town will reimburse $.36 per mile.
