REGULAR MEETING, GENOA TOWN BOARD November 11, 2004
A Regular meeting of the Genoa Town Board was held on November 11, 2004 at the
Genoa Town Hall 1000 Bartnick Road, Genoa, New York 13071.
The Regular Meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M.

WATER REPORT:
Average water consumption for October was 75,000 gallons per day. Meters are all
read for this quarter.
WATER CO0MMITTEE:
Meeting on 10-25-04. Going over finalizing new water application. No meeting until
January of 2005. Will work on laws then. Stuart Underwood asked if it were possible
to get started on revising laws prior to January. Cheryl Shields will check on that.
BUILDING AND GROUNDS:
There was $3,406.00 transfered to A1413.4. The new shelving will be here on Thursday
November 18, 2004.

COMMUNICATIONS:
Letter to Ronald Rotanch in regards to complaint on motor vehicles, grass not being cut, and
house in disrepair. NOTE: Mr Rotanch did call and say he was addressing the problems and was
going to submit a letter indicating such action.
Letter to Raymundo in regards to junk cars in front
yard.
Letter to McLaughlin's in regards to working W/O insurance and electrical complaint on
the
house located at 589 RT 34.
Letter to Freelove in regards to junk vehicles on property on Stewarts Corners
Road.
HIGHWAY REPORT:
Men have finished hauling approx. 1,700 ton of cinders for winter. They're mixed with approx. 600 ton of salt and ready for winter use. The rip rap for County Line Hill has been hauled and put in place. Soil and Water Dept finished hydro sealing and mulch as well. The last coat of gravel was put down with the help of Town of Venice. Frank rolled and completed. By request of the County DA a bill was figured for damages done to Hill Road and sent to him. The state Highway mileage audit was done and returned to them. Helped Town of Ledyard haul gravel from Moravia. Men have been doing ditching, culvert repair and raplacing and mowing and patching. New sander arrived, but was wrong size. It was sent back and a new one reordered for the same price. Finished it up in time to be used. Hoses, lights and woromg etc. New truck is 99% complete and useable for winter. Our yearly NYMIR insurance inspection was done and successful. New pickup is being painted and should be ready next week.

OLD BUSINESS:
Peter A Signor has concented to become our new historian. He has conversed with grayson our long time historian. Will also contact other historians in the area. We are sure he will do as good a job as Gordon and Grayson. Katheryn will also be helpfull. We are looking up the duties expected of the Town Historian. Peter will meet with Lori after he has more information. We need to look up the agreement with Genoa Historical Association. Maybe put certain amount in budget for 2006 for expenses.
NEW BUSINESS;
Discuss Town Laws verses State Laws. See paragraph #3002.8 in Local Law Book.
Water laws- Review and have an answer as to progress in changes.
We would like a dog control report form Carl Collier to know how manyu dog complaints
we have.
There is a change to the Minutes of 8-11-2004. The computer that was ordered for the bookkeeper Dud went to the water department for Brenda.
Discussed the water problem at Howard and Tammy residence on creek road. Tammy will call their lawyer with the desicion made to put a small burm adn a ditch to take care of water coming onto their property from Hill Roade. This will also include going in the following year and revamp
work done this year. Frank will call Soil and Water so we have their input to this problem.
Board voted to pay balance of Minnow legal fees for law
suit.
