HIGHWAY REPORT May 2005:
Frank Sellen
The new Town pickup is in at Marietta Diesel in Auburn. The box is already to go on. Mark and Bernie have been hauling #1 stone and crusher run. Crockett has been running grader on the gravel roads. Most have been gone over once. Albert and I have been running the ditcher when we can get it to go, repairing places that flooded last month and some that filled in. Made the choice on the ditcher to award Vantage Equipment the bid for a Volvo EW180B. The paper should be ready to mail for the rest of the bid. Decided to use some calcium on our gravel roads to try and save what we added to them. Have been running the roller on them. Got the 10 wheeler inspected and new clutch brake on # 9 at Caskeys. The freightliner is getting one also.
The ditcher bid was selected. Advantage Equipment has a EW180B that has a delivery date of June 1, 2005 possibly. The purchase price is $149,979.00. $110,000.00 is available to be paid now and the ramainder will be in the budget in the fall for payment next year. The old excavator will be put up for bid.
