HIGHWAY REPORT May 2005:
About 99% of our gravel roads have calcium applied. As dry as it's been, it's working
well. Have met with F.E.M.A. representatives twice on flood damage. The next meeting should
determine actual money totals. Frank bailed wells at the landfill for the yearly water samples of each well. Met with insurance adjuster on #7 Freightliner and he said there was evidence of flame and we should be covered for at least a percentage of the cost. Our trucks and Ledyard, Moravia and Venice hauled 7,103 ton of screened gravel and 4,329 ton of crushed gravel for Center to Creek Road. Filter fabric was applied and two coats of
calcium for stabilization were used, this will be done soon. Had complaints from Guy Green and his wife, for dust and shoulder problems. We're working with them and have done everything we can to please them. Our new truck is done at Marrietta Diesel. Ford has shut down Genesee Ford and is pulling the keys on trucks for non-payment. I suggest that we consider changing the plow to a Boss plow that can be installed by Marrietta Diesel. We could then go out and take possession of it from them. Our new ditcher has arrived at the port and should be at Vantage Equipment for dealer
preparation soon. Our ditcher is going again, 3 new cross culvert pipes were installed on Center Road to Creek road. Will have to replace 4' pipe on Hill Road in the near future.

Local Law#1 of 1987 does allow us to use the State Law. A person that has been cited for an
infraction can either pay fine or go to jail. Have work session when Wayne Smith and Kim Bennett are available. Will advertise when date is set.
