HIGHWAY REPORT July 2005:
Our chip sealing is about complete. We have been helping Moravia, Niles and Venice do theirs, as they helped us do ours. Thirty Two thousand gallons of oil was applied to about seven miles of road surface.
Albert has been mowing as well as running the ditcher. He has been patching holes and shoulders in between times.
County Line Hill road is 99% complete. More gabion stone has been placed in the ditches, and at the bottom of the culverts and finished off with seed. Two coats of chip seal have been applied. Looks good and no complaints.
Dave has been running the grader on some of our gravel roads. We have added some gravel to bring up the centers for better run off, as well as cutting the shoulders and picking them up.
Our new ditcher is getting the thumb installed on it, and should be delivered this week.
