WATER REPORT:
David Reeves and Brenda Tyrrell
October 2005
Average water consumption for August 2005 was 98,000 thousand gallons per day.
Average water consumption for September 2005 was 90.4 thousand gallons per day
We were inspected by Cayuga County Health Department. Everything was in order.
August was another dry month with the water level being low I set the pumps off night rate to keep the tanks full and take the 98,000 gallons per day out of the ground from a 24 hour period instead of the 9 hour period.
November
2005
Average for the Month of October was 87,000 thousand gallons per
day.
Flushed dead end streets.
Checked out Old Genoa School to see what the meter was and what was needed to be done to replace it. We ordered a new meter to be billed to that property. The owners left it to freeze and
break which ruined the whole meter.
Recognition for 25 years with AWWA.
Run generator twice this month for flushing and is runs good. Have been running a couple hours each month.
Mark read meters by himself for this quarter and went very well.

WATER COMMITTEE REPORT:
Meeting October 24, 2005
Discussed agenda for 2006. Look into how our expenses might increase and where.
We discussed the new water rates for 2006. They would increase the Capital Reserve
Fund (approximately) $13,000.00 per year. Within two years the Capital Reserve Fund should be around
$100,000.00 (approximately), which is what we thought would be an appropriate amount to have in waiting. Giving us enough to have on hand for re-drilling, maintenance, grant applications, new equipment, emergency hauling, etc.
Minimum raised by .25 cents=increase of approx. $2,100.00(+-)

HIGHWAY REPORT:
October 2005.
The men hauled over 1800 ton of cinders from A.E.S. Cayuga to our stock pile for winter use. We received another 300 ton of salt, that was mixed with and stock piled in the salt storage shed.
The plows were on and the sanders were in for the snow storm that missed us. Maybe we scared it away.
Dave has been running the ditcher in between the rains. We’ve been installing driveway culverts for area farmers and cleaning the ditches as well.
Albert is continuing his patching program as the mowing is about done for the year.
We finally received the spare tire and rim for the new pickup. We ended up getting them at Backus Ford in Syracuse. Ford Credit paid for them.
Our floor drains in the town barn were inspected by the U.S. EPA. They also checked our oil separator and storage tank. As far as we know, we are in compliance with them.
The men have been cutting and cleaning trees, brush and limbs from last weeks wind
storm.
